PVEF has partnered with the American Association of University Women Camarillo Branch to offer LEGO Mindstorm Basic and Advanced programming classes through AAUW's summer Creative Arts Workshops.
Longtime PVEF instructor and team coach, Debbie Hager, will teach three classes of Basic Mindstorm programming and one of Advanced programming to kids who may be interested in joining teams for PVEF's FIRST LEGO League program in Fall 2017.
Basic classes are 45 minutes long and are offered at 9 to 9:45am, 9:45 to 10:30am, and 10:30 to 11:15am. Basic programming is available to kids who will be in grades 4 - 8 in Fall 2017. One 45-minute Advanced class is offered at 11:15 to 12:00pm. The Advanced class is available to kids in grades 6 - 8.
The Robotics classes and other Creative Arts Workshops are 5 days per week for three weeks starting Monday, July 10 through Friday, July 28.
Registration for all Creative Arts Workshops is done in-person on Saturday, May 6, 2017, from 9:00 to 11:30 am at the Camarillo Community Center on Burnley. There is a $15 registration fee per child and then it will cost $30 per 45-minute class. Some classes have additional lab fees. A Late Registration day for still-available classes will be held on Wednesday, May 10, 2017 from 5:30pm to 7:00 pm.
