Pleasant Valley Education Foundation's
Robotics Roundup program presents:

1st Annual Robot Olympics!

December 17 2016

Olympians, use your LEGO Mindstorms NXT or EV3 robots to compete in challenging events that test your programming and robot design skills! You can sign up as an individual or as a team. It's the robot that you register to compete, not the individuals!

There are two divisions in which to compete:

  1. Youth division (ages 9 to 14 only, individually or as a team)
  2. Open division (anyone, including teens, adults, or savvy 9 to 14 y.o. individuals or teams may compete in this division)

The Robot Olympics is a pentathalon -- five exciting events for trained and pumped robot gladiators. The events are:

  1. The 16-foot Dash
  2. Robot Dance
  3. Line Following Steeple Chase
  4. Catapult
  5. Mystery Obstacle Course

  • Minimum participation fee for each robot is $20 (If registering as a team, one representative must pay the fee online. How that payment may be reimbursed to that individual and collected between members of a team is your responsibility.)
  • Minimum fee entitles your robot to compete in any two of the five events.
  • Each additional event is $5. All five events is $35. You may choose the events in which you wish to compete in any combination. Register for two or all five!
